Reb Moshe didn't like liquid soap because of the foam.  Kol shechain foaming liquid soap.  But if the only concern is viscosity,  it is still viscous.

There is no heter to use a bar of soap on shabbos or yom tov period.

There is a discussion about liquid soap. Rav Moshe was machmir. As referenced in line 14  (of whatever that thing is) to his teshuva

Line 14 also references the shmiras shabbos (also posted up thread) in which the footnote discusses why there would be an issur memachek on paste soap (because there is no surface..)

There is no source or discussion to permit bar soap. (To the best of my knowledge)

In my house we always used watered down liquid soap on shabbos. My Q is if foaming soap is considered a liquid or does the foaming make it a case of noled.....

Not at all! I don't get the liquid soap people. You have to use half a bottle to soap a human body, and even then it's not cleansing.

R nissan kaplan gave a shiur about this.  iirc r nissan karelitz says its muttar. and r nissan said that based on a certain psak of r shlomo zalman it *might* be assur.  as always, he came out that there's room to be machmir

Heard the following. A family who rents out their basement went on a trip. They left their house at 4am. Their tenants were away for the weekend and when they arrived home they realized they were robbed.  What happened was that the landlord was having a cleaning lady that afternoon so they left their door unlocked so she can get in.

Does the landlord have any responsibility for the loss of the tenant?
