I accidentally bit into a plantain thinking it was a banana. Will never do it again. +1
It may not have been fully ripe. It seems from a bit of googling that when they turn black they are edible raw. Even so that is definitely not the typical way to eat them. I would not consider them to be a min which is automatically considered oleh al shulcan mlachim though.

In Igros Moshe and Emes LYaakov they write explicitly that it requires bishul yisroel.
Thanks.

All Halocha Shailos and teiffa Questions

I booked an AC ticket yesterday to TLV for Chanukah and in the rush, didn't realize that the timing would completely make me miss lighting for the first night. I booked through priceline and can still cancel through tonight, what do you guys think, should I cancel?

Why not have a shliach light in your house?

Luckily it's the first night and all he has to do is one flashlight.

What would be your first reaction if you see someone lighting eight flashlights on an airplane?
I would call the air marshals...
