The issue then becomes milchig or fleaishig ladle. You can't use a milchig to place lichatchila into cholent and according to RMA can't place a fleishig one lichatchila into water to be used with milk.

be careful by the way... it's easy to eat a ton of them but ginger is a powerful herb. it can seriously drop blood pressure (temporarily.)
