Raw oats are edible?
Dunno, ask OP. I based mine on hallacha of koses es hachita which you make ha'adama. Same should apply to oats.

Koses es hachita reffers to roasted kernels. Raw would be shehakol, unless:
if you originate from Galitzye or elsewhere.

Someone who is not in charge of preparing or serving can. If it is written in poem that's also ok

Incorrect. The word koses refers to eating something which isn't normally eaten.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Is there a reason to specifically say slichos before shacris, (I'm not talking about ashmores haboker) or is after shacris the same? The only thing that I found was  this I have a few issues with this and nor do I fully understand, any real mekoros?

Definitely should say before. Obviously, if you missed it, say it afterwards. The go-to sefer for all things in Tishrei is the Mateh Efraim.

I've long had this question, and I only stopped actually doing it last year (not because I found out it's assur but because I decided on a different method entirely). I used to take bamboo sticks and lay one across each 2x4 holding up the schach, then tie them together (with the schach sandwiched in the middle). My svara was that at worst, it becomes maamid d'maamid.

Can I tie it down directly to the sukkah (metal pole of a material sukkah) or does it need to be to a wood beam in between sukkah & schach ?

The mateh efraim only discusses saying saying it bashmores haboker etc, he barely mentions our minhag nowadays to say it later. The reasoning he brings from the lvush is that hashem is שט בעוה"ז during the last 3 hours of night, but if your saying it after that, I don't see any reason to specifically say it before shacris...

Raw oats are edible?
Sure, many ppl sprinkle them in their cereal in that case you wouldn't be required to make a bracha.(I assume)
And now if one would eat them plain?

Can branches get by when they are checking for the prepackaged ones. I would imagine so since they are being done on a mass scale, but to the extent he is writing? Nah.. It is kedai to check over what you buy to make sure they are meshulash.

I wouldn't call it fake news, it's a true halacha, and I'm sure there's lots of non kosher ones being sold out there, you just got to be a bit more careful when purchasing the hadasim.

He did say lots.
Yes you would have to check it again the best you could while in the package, and that's the reason why lots like to buy them loose.

And the same would go with the lulavim, you need to check it even though it's in the packages..

That is WHY it is fake news. He took a true halacha to make a click bait sensationalist headliner that there is some non existent scam going on.
