Which string (without hechsher) is ok to use for schach ?

Any natural twine (jute, sisal, etc). My friend at the OU said that's what they tell their restaurants to use, and it's also what or Rov recommended.

How about using regular string to tie beams (2x4's) that are on top of schach to beams under the schach without touching the schach ? Kinda like a sandwich. The beams stick out a few inches past the schach.

I was gonna get the sisal but somebody said its regular string & no good.

Definitely not true. It's twisted natural fibers, and it's very rough - nothing like regular cotton or synthetic string.

I would think so but I'm not ordained. Ask ur lor..

Btw, I believe iirc some are machmir on any tying of secach, even w no kabolas tuma because of gezeiras tikra

Tie them loosely. It'll jump up a bit when the wind comes but it won't blow off.

What's the best way to store the lulav, hadassim, arovos ? I don't want my lulav to look like a palm tree after a few days & hadassim/arovos shouldn't get black or dried up.

Hands down to use the water vials from florists on the aravos only in a regular plastic lulav case. I have sen them for sale in shuls in Lakewood not sure about elsewhere. I have been doing that for ears with much success.

Easiest and has been working excellently for me and my family for years.

So take the lulav out of the fancy bag and place it in the plastic bag with holes at the bottom and place that in a vase with a bit of water (and only the lulav itself touches the water)

There are those who hold that since original manufacture was not for food it is you who are making into kli. I would do with no brocha.
