yes that is true bc the company seals the whole top of the can on and you mak  a kli when opening it. Can’t imagine what could be with a bottle

Also heard that orange juice bottles, those made of paper, have that very same issue. As the new opening wasn't there before.

The can is already a kli. Issue is making a pesach

You know...instead of spending $20 on this bottle opener, you could just open your bottles before Shabbos.

If this device is successful it will be its own undoing, since the manufacturers will no longer have a tamper proof bottle and will have to redesign it....
Oh please. Anybody with a little patience (and without 2 left hands?) can do this without the opener. It just makes it easier.

It just makes it easier.
im not so sure that it does. seemed to have been a pretty big patchke from the video. pretty annoying way to open a case of sodsa/seltzer. i personally rather spend 2 minutes before shabbos with a knife and lose that tiny amount  of fizz , than spend 1-2 minutes per bottle on shabbos  in middle of the seuda when i really want a drink
May you slide down the banister of happiness & get many splinters of success up your career.

Why spend any time with a knife? Before Shabbos just open it and close it quickly.

Quote
According to the above poskim why is the act of opening a soda bottle בפטיש? מכה

When one opens a bottle, the ring detaches from the cap. The poskim believe that act is a מאלכה of מכה בפטיש which means “the finishing act". (ע רש"י שבת עג)

Specific examples of what constitutes a מאלכה of מכה בפטיש (finalizing a product), includes, but is not limited to: opening the neck hole of an article of clothing, fashioning a hook from a wire hanger, or bending a safety pin back into its correct original shape, so that it is ready for use.

This is also true for a bottle cap. When the ring is attached to the bottle cap, it is not a functioning cap, because it cannot be screwed on or off of a bottle. Therefore, cracking the ring from the cap is the finishing act of the bottle cap.

So now can I open them regularly, because even with the ring attached they can be opened (with this device)? [At least according to this understanding of the issur.]

Similar reasoning is brought in Shmiras Shabbos Kihilchoso from RSZ"A that since the plastic caps can be opened by slipping a knife under the ring to pry it over the bump they can be opened regularly as well. I was unable to replicate getting it off with a knife.

One important point is that the opinions which consider it to be a functioning cap should also hold that one may not puncture the cap.

I heard similar to this from R' Reuven, I asked him about a non carbonated drink where the drink can be squeezed out without breaking the seal and he said its muttar to open the bottle because you already have a pesach (a carbonated drink gets ruined in the process so it's not a good pesach).

I also asked R' Reuven about puncturing a hole in the cap and he said it wouldn't help, when I asked if there is anything that can be done he said get a goy.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Use a fork, slip one tine under, and run around the bottle clockwise. Works easily on the bottle caps with the little pointy fins.

Well what happens if you forget  to open it before Shabbos? :-\

Three suggestions:

1. Spend the requested $20 on this device so that you can open the bottle
2. Drink beer or wine
3. Puncture the side of a bottle with a screwdriver and pour it out that way
