What's the deal with toiveling a pasta machine? Apparently getting it even remotely wet can ruin it completely.
Many would advise selling to a non Jew for such a scenario.
Important to note though, that many machines that contain such warnings have been successfully toiveled.

I have a quote from Rav Heineman in my Rosh Chaburah's notes saying something with internal electric components doesn't need it at all (he was talking about a K-Cup machine - is yours really that delicate?). There are cholkim, so as was said, ownership by a Goy. Note that R' Berkovits says it has to be real ownership with a kinyan that works m'deoraysa (kesef plus meshicha), and he prefers that the Goy in question use the machine so it shouldn't be a joke of an ownership.

So, by not working, they show they aren't lazy? :-X

Yes I grossly misquoted from memory, should've looked it up before posting, thanks for pointing it out.

"אולם כדי להשלים את הידור המצוה שהן מחסרות בהדלקת הנרות בעצמן, נהגו שלא לעשות מלאכה באותה שעה, כדי להראות דמה שאינן מדליקות בעצמן לאו משום שאינן זריזות במצוות וחסות על ביטול מלאכתן, אלא נמנעות משום כל כבודה בת מלך פנימה."

Lol, that's what I was gonna say. AFAIK pasta maker is the thing that turns the raw dough into raw pasta shapes - it doesn't cook it.

Hold your horses. I don't know anything about these machines.. but if it never handles ready-to-eat food, it may not need tevila at all!

assuming you mean a pasta roller, it doesn't require tevila. It has no function as kli seuda even if you tried to use it as an alternate use

FYI, there were a number of female "Rebbes" to whom people came for Brachos and to be Poiel Yeshuos.
Just bumped into this last night, From Hassidim: A New History

The Belze Rebbetzin Malka was "holding a tish, delivering a sermon"?? First time I see that. She was known as a very holy Rebbetzin from the many stories and gave Brachos but feiring tish and delivering sermons seems exaggerated. Any sources for that?

Also the Webermacher moid story didn't make it to reputable books from Ehrlicha mechabrim. Looks fictitious to me. The maskilim were notoriously known to fabricate all sorts of crazy legends of Rebbes.

Broadly defined, why not? The current Belzer Rebbetzin (for example) "holds tish" and "bestows blessings". The "delivering sermon" thing I agree is strange but what exactly do they mean by that? Do they mean something like writing a "michtav chizik" to an event/group or a few short inspirational verter, either option a very very very generous defiintion of sermon but very believable.

No. Later on in the book it’s clear that the reference to Reb. Malka is merely due to the unusually הנהגה of her sitting beside her husband when someone came to see him as per a story told in the sefer דובר שלום.
Her daughter Eydel was the one who was much more Rebbe like taking kvittlach etc, her father allegedly said about her ״מיין איידלי פעהלט נאר א ספאדיק״.

I didn’t end up buying the book, I decided at the time that it seemed they were exaggerating her role and status.
As the book that I referenced above prefaces, “Hannah Rokhl Werbermacher, also known as the Maid of Ludmir, a figure who has been rescued from obscurity by contemporary Jewish feminists. There are no contemporaneous sources for her life, whose story is rather based on later legends.”

They sell in some Judaica stores a special type of ceramic scissors. Metal is not allowed.
