Do you say Migdol (as opposed to Magdil) in Bentching by Melave Malka?

My entire life, I've always said Magdil. I just saw for the first time today, a Bentcher which says you say Migdol...

What I heard from an adom gadol: The pasuk appears in 2 places: In Tehillim 18:51 it appears as mAgdil, in Shmuel B 22:51 it appears as mIgdal. In old bentchers/siddurim it said it as mAgdil and in parenthesis בש"ב מִגְדּ֖וֹל because of how it appears in Shmuel B. Eventually by mistake בש"ב got changed to בשבת, but it has no halachic significance.

Who's the Adam Gadol?

Lol, that's one of Reb Boruch Epstein's genius inventions but not factually true.

The Mekor is a אבודרהם and then brought down by the major poskim. At the times of the אבודרהם, Shmuel wasn't divided yet into two portions, so it's a brilliant but foolish theory.  ;D

What could have been?? The אבודרהם was before the invention of the printed press, so not a difference anyway. (Besides for the lunacy of attributing a silly mistake to what a Rishon writes and gives Taamim for, besides for the Shlah and brought down by the leading Achronim)

You should ask that from him. (Given what else he wrote, this is not such a big question to begin with)

Curios if any of you guys know the answer.

Don't know the answer to the riddle. But I checked on otzar hachachma and it's from shomer tziyon hane'eman which was a kovetz put out by the oruch li'ner. dg

Lol, just say you have no clue :P .  (Can generally serve you well)

Happens to be that point is not the one I necessarily disagree with... It's his weird and fantasy pirushim on the Parsha,-famously on the Maakos, on minhagim, he loves to find "mistakes" on what the rishonim wrote and plagiarizes other's chidushim as well. Rav Aaron said that the good thing about his chumash is when you skip a page by mistake it's nothing to cry over. (which is somewhat interesting, because his style and issues put aside, he still did a phenomenal work in Torah Temima, given the genius he was.)

So it's just 'interesting'. But not like Apikorsus ch'v.

Correct, I don't think anyone accuses him of such, just his daring and weird (and sometimes foolish) stuff. His Mekor Baruch is legendary but not taken too serious either.

I see he has Choshuve Yichus. R' Mechel Yechiel Epstein ZT'L was his father, Mechaber of the Aruch HaShulchan.
