Rav Moshe writes very clearly otherwise.

He says baal nefesh yachmir, that means someone who is not a baal nefesh does not need to be machmir. ETA: this is assuming it's cheaper which it definitely is.

This is all besides the fact the the metzius today is not what is discussed by Rav Moshe.

I was there when R' Reuven got very upset about an ad put out by a cholov yisroel milk distributor saying that nowadays it's different.

There is no reliability in psak halacha from that show.

Rav Reuven told me clearly that a baal nefesh is a very high madreigah, and that he himself does not feel that he is holding there (approx. 5 years ago), but since people perceive him as being a real baal nefesh, he himself is machmir. And that for me, there is no reason to (unless they are basically the same price).

I've heard well respected talmidei chachamim and kashrus experts make statements they knew to be false because he pushed them and manipulated their words. Quite frankly, he comes off as someone with a strong agenda and doesn't want to be confused with facts. Classic journalistic dishonesty.

Can you give an example of a Talmid Chacham that said something knowingly false on the program?

Um, in the מדריך לכשרות in תשלז he clearly says that individuals should be machmir.
