They sell vacation fish food pellets and some are only kitniyos. Even if it is chometz you can sell the whole tank to a goy even if you don't sell chometz gamur this is nuksha and taaruvos

I was learning in a shul this morning and came across this fantastic sefer. And I’m happy to see it’s on hebrewbooks so I can attach the link.

Seems like it’s a problem unless you are מפקיר the fish or if there is still some food somewhere in the tank that the fish can find. Additionally, he brings down a chiddush from someone that the Halacha may only apply to a food which is מיוחד for the animal!

I don’t understand how one can say “only מיוחד for animals”. Meaning only if I want to eat fish food I need to feed the fish?
Why would someone be eating animal food?

I’ll have to look at those automatic feeders, or give it away to my cleaning lady.

I heard Rav Bloi ZTL (from the Badatz) say that one can even rely on the rabbanut eruv for tchumin even though they can't use it for carrying.

The whole rule of haloch achar hameikil we say regarding tchumin and not hotzaah (except according to some who use it based on ein lano rh"r). There are case of karpef that we would ignore for tchumin and according to some, any karpef. Some bring that we can rely on 2 mechitzos to be considered mukaf

I am talking about practical issues. Like one guy having WAY to much responsibility on his head .Or removing poles because he wasn't payed for the instalation etc....

FWIW A friend says he personally saw Rav Yirmiyahu Kaganoff go from Nivei Yaakov to merkaz hair for a Sholom Zochor. Maybe he made an Eruv Techumin...
