Well I m saying that because a couple of years ago I tried to make a case with Apple Care for a battery problem with my 1st generation ipod nano and they wouldn't even take it back due to the fact that it was a very old model with "discontinued support"... hence, I cant see Apple sending dealvr his old ipod "repaired" of the defect the replacement program was intended to fix...

They're refurbs.. In other words they have been manufactured already.

Yeah the status stayed at "empty boxed shipped" for a while but then it went to step 3 and I received it the day after... count about 2 weeks

Ordered envelope from Apple 11/14

Received envelope12/6

Nano delivered to Apple on 12/28

Received Nano 1/12 --- Silver 8gb 6th Gen. Refurbished.

I have someone waiting the same. I called them and they said it could take 4-6 weeks I think..

AFAIK it's one per ipod, not restricted based on household..
