Probably the best example of this bizarre phenomenon. What is the seichel of putting a fast boisterous tune to the words of a verse that bemoans the fact that people encourage each other to build and serve idols?
Not much seichel at all.
From his very first album, Avraham Fried has been open about how he uses his music to convey a message. Many of his songs come from him taking a possuk, maamer chazal, or concept to a songwriter to write a song about. He used to pull out a chumash at concerts to read the pesukim he was singing. The source is everything.
But sure, I'll take your word that he's totally ignorant about the title track of one of his best albums.
