I dont get the whole panic....If it is as contagious as they say it is how can it be that there are so few cases. Something seems off. For example the flight attendant who had it on a flight from ICN-LAX-ICN was infected how did she not get at least 50 people on board infected. Now those people interacted with at least an additional 100 people going through the airport using bathrooms taxis etc. Those 100 then would infect at least another few hundred until it is known that there was an infection. Yet in the entire US there are less then 60 cases. And yet the govt wants to set aside BILLIONS of dollars on a disease that has barely affected anybody in the US.
It's as contagious as the flu, but deadlier.
I'm not who you think I am.

Takes 2 weeks to find out who is infected.
So for now you can only pray no one else is infected

As an aside, I personally heard from Rav Chaim Kanievsky that to not have something only visible through blood tests is not considered tfilas shav including someone who is a carrier of a genetic issue.

Source?
CDC gives basically the same description of how Covid-19 spreads and how the flu spreads.

I think Covid-19 will last much longer due to the fact that everyone will be doing things to prevent the spread but nothing will be enough, it'll just take longer to get to  new people.

Hopefully we keep it from spreading to much till the summer, and that should slow the spread, but even if it's still around by next winter hopefully we'll have a vaccine.
I'm not who you think I am.

That does not back up your assertion.

Again if its as serious as everybody says then from the time the first case hit the US there should already be hundreds more as everybody interacts with everybody else.

My understanding is that it's less contagious than the flu, but far more deadly.

My understanding is that it's far more deadly.

Is that true in first world countries as well?

Yes, significantly worse than the flu. Though not quite as deadly as in Wuhan.

My question is why in China did numbers jump by the Thousands in the beginning then suddenly they started falling with no vaccine. In the US after a month that it has been there it is standing at 52.

Probably because China is becoming more cautious hence the US

Because China had community spread.

Or because china doesnt accurately report its numbers

Ok its now official....Israel caused the virus...

Iran's vice president, Masoumeh Ebtekar, has been infected with the coronavirus. Her case is not severe and she has not gone to the hospital. During a meeting of Iran's cabinet yesterday, she was seated near Hassan Rouhani, Irans' president.
