Air Serbia on Thursday (19MAR20) suspended its scheduled operations, currently scheduled until 12APR20, based on GDS schedule listing. The following routes are cancelled, and corresponding weekly frequency listed is for the week of 05APR20, based on 15MAR20’s OAG schedules

Belgrade – New York JFK 3 weekly
Belgrade – Tel Aviv 6 weekly

I just spoke to trip.com at their US support number 833-896-0077. Very little hold time (under 3 minutes) so that was nice. The rep I spoke to said the only options I have are refund or voucher but if I go with the voucher I will have to pay the difference in flight fare when I book so refund is a better option. He also recommended that I do something before the official departure time of my flight (which is 2:35 PM today so I got to act quickly). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I would be able to get a voucher and not have to pay for the difference in fare? Should I try calling Air Serbia and see if there's something they can do?

Doubt you need to do anything before departure on a cancelled flight.

Call Air Serbia and ask about rebooking options.

Air serbia says on their website (https://www.airserbia.com/en/footer_menu/support/refunds-regarding-covid19/voucher-refund) that for flights cancelled due to COVID they will give voucher for what you paid plus 10%. That sounds nice in theory but 10% of these ultra cheap tickets still will not come close to the price of what tickets normally cost. I guess I can call and see if I may have better luck that way. It's just I fear a really long hold time.

I booked through chase.com and trip.com Chase automatically cancelled my ticket and is giving me a airline credit can they do that?

So do you recommend choosing another date and booking? I'm reluctant to do that as there is still so much uncertainty regarding when things will get back to normal, that's why I wanted an open ended voucher. I guess if the other one gets cancelled I can just re-book again as many times as I need to, it's just that I can't just fly whenever so each time I book I have to go through the hassle of making sure my calendar allows me to go then knowing full well that the flight may be cancelled anyways.

on their website it stated that if the flight was cancelled {Passengers may exercise their right to re-book or refund provided they contact Air Serbia Contact Centre or the nearest Air Serbia Retail Shop, "Before the date" of commencement of their travel, shown on the ticket}.... my question is could this be done with Air Serbia since they didn't book these tickets? and how do i go about re-booking when as of now only the outbound ticket was cancelled?

I sent an email to Air Serbia's help desk callcenter@airserbia.com and the responded

"Dear passenger,

Thank You for contacting Air Serbia Call Center.

Since this is not Air Serbia document, we can not assist you.

Please contact Etihad Airways for all information regarding your reservation."

I haven't yet contacted Etihad but I'll try when I get a chance.

I called air serbia today and rep said:
once you receive notification about canceled flight to call them and they will make arrangements for another flight date without price change.

Basically 2 options: get refund or keep the ticket and fly later without any extra charges.
