From my limited experience coupons do not affect staples easy rebates plus you don't really run the risk of them denying you
(not to mention supporting the site by buying them through the shopping portal

staples seems to have some decent cyber monday deals

In my case the order was cancelled (OOS) and I lost the coupon. I'll probably try and call to get it back.
They told me the order never went through so the coupon is still valid. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the code, I copy pasted it without saving it

Adult primary. Since they have my info already, it was very quick adding each 'child'. Even though the adult is primary, you have the option of making the child responsible for interest. They only run this promo once a year AFAIK.

Like Dan said plus if you sign in to your account you can lose accrued rewards. It seems like one time probably won't hurt you, but too often can be risky. There are good reasons why on FW and SD they are very hushed about them.

I think Staples would've already blocked redeeming coupons by people who weren't targeted if they wanted to. My guess is they're aware of it and they won't crack down unless you abuse it.

So ordering as a guest is not a problem bec they can't track you?
