He's saying it should only work on the freedom card because the page that was linked says exclusively for freedom card holders
+1.
I wonder though if it's still better to buy it on the SPG for the warrenty. I guess it depends on how much you spend.

Good point. I was under the impression that Chase Freedom offered Purchase protection and Extended warranty, but after Googling it seems I was wrong and those benefits aren't included on this card.

You would give up around 17% for the warranty?

I'm torn. But if you're getting 5x from Amex then it isn't 17%.

He mentioned using the spg so you're not getting the 5X for that. If it wasn't savings would you ever pay that much for extended warranty?

I'd use a different Amex card if I wanted to go that route.

I've taken advantage of extended warranties often enough that I'd actually consider choosing the cashback over the extended warranty. Imagine getting your entire purchase price back in 1.5 years when the item you purchased crashes on you, that's something to consider.

You should also consider taking the UR and buying a Squaretrade warranty, they are hassle free and I'm onfident they have a decent Black Friday coupon.

KitchenAid mixers at Kohls, 20% off with code CON20HH4, and $15 in KohlsCash for every $50 you spend. There's also 10x (possibly 15x) UR points, and some rebates as icing on the cake (see the fine print on the rebates posted on Kohls.com for details on getting $12 back instead of the magazine offer).

5% dept. stores including kohls + an extra 5% at kohls. I don't know if these stack with the 10% UR mall bonus. I'm also pretty sure I hit my $1,500 limit for the quarter a while ago.

Here are a few items people asked me to buy for them if I find a cheap one, please let me know if you know of any deals:

  • Logitech (or similar brand) wireless keyboard/mouse combo.
  • Warming tray (for Shabbos food).
  • Cheap wireless G router with good reviews (not refurbished).
  • Mini-Refrigerator (Frigidaire or similar brand).
  • Dual-link bluetooth headset (connects to two devices at once), e.g. this one.

How's that for random? :P
