I don't believe their narratives. They probably still have some cases there, but it's contained and under control.
All my factories are operating normally (with precautions) at regular capacity.

From when it broke out in December, they basically had it under control as of a couple weeks ago. So 3 months.

For me it's sad because we're not following their lead. Need total lockdown or we don't get out of this anytime soon.

We don't need a communist solution if governors order everyone to stay home no matter what and use police to arrest/issue fines to people. No need to kill people, weld people into homes, or make them disappear. It would definitely work faster though.

How is that implemented on a practical level when healthcare workers need to go to work, people need to get food, medicine...?

In China they allowed all this as well, anyone deemed essential was allowed to work, everyone else was allowed one family member to shop once every 3 days. Hard to implement the latter, but at the very least they can get rid of all the low-hanging fruit. People in parks, minyanim, and elsewhere.

In NYC the problem is not that they can't get tests. It's that our beloved mayor has adopted the Russian Method. Don't test, don't know. The mayor is NOT ALLOWING local doctors to order tests. Heard directly from 2 local doctors.

Tests cannot be had anymore, now under the excuse “the labs are overwhelmed anyways & it wont come back before a very long time so it doesnt make a difference”
