Iinm, a chupah is considered an essential gathering. That's the chupah and the chupah only. No other part of the wedding is considered essential.

Considering that COVID-19 doesnt affect children, this is a bogus charge.

It's getting scarier.

A friend of mine in his 30s is in the hospital with all covid symptoms. Including no smell and taste.

They are up to their third test on him, and they all came back negative!

His Doctor is pulling his hair out of his head! He says the only explanation is what he doesnt wanna think... Different strains....

First hand verified story.

thinking...... maybe it could be its the seasonal flu any viral infection can cause loss of smell and taste people just forgot that the flu is still around....

By the way. I happened to have been driving by and saw the event happening and saw police coming and stuck around to watch. It is a terrible chilul Hashem and still unsafe but the truth is everyone was in their cars or on their own porches, they were actually staying away from each other really well.

I am in no way defending them, just saying it’s not exactly how it sounds.

Hold up. Maybe the virus is already gone for some of these people, but the post-viral (or late-viral-stage) pneumonia is what has them in the hospital?

If they’re testing negative then does that mean they’re not viral?

Most likely a defective test. Some people had to take the test 6-7x before testing positive.
A lot of smart people I know have been saying the positive test rate in NY/NJ is way too low to be real, especially considering they’re only testing people with strong symptoms.
