Where exactly do you get your numbers?
California as a whole is Red. The Blue parts like Los Angeles/Imperial/Marin Counties have been much harder then the rest of the state and are on par with the highest numbers in the country.

If California is a red state, then the US is 99% red. CA has a Democratic governor, and the last 7 presidential elections were for Democratic candidates. But regardless - what is your point? That urban blue areas are more likely to have been hit hard? That policies by the governor don’t make a difference? That the advice given in red states or red governors is very well thought out and not mistaken at all? That people in red counties have a secret corona vaccine? Really unsure what you’re getting at.
