And now? You think they'll be able to go 3 blocks away? They'll still have to drive out of the county, and possibly a few counties over. The issue is inconsistency. People closer to certain counties will be able to skirt the mandates, rendering county level mandates much less effective and much harder to enforce.

The headline says it all. If there was one day that stands out it was that M”S one year ago where the sirens were constant and Hatzalah had a shortage of ambulances. No one knew if it was the peak or just the beginning and it was quite terrifying. Many many first yahrtzeits are unfortunately taking place this week and next.

Unless it was an anticipated low probability event they decided to risk anyways for the public good, in which case they deserve medals. Either way, firing them now will result in even less vaccines
