Why do airlines impose some of the strictest mask mandates when airplanes are among the least dangerous public places you can be in?

It is rare, but can be deadly. My sister in law was hospitalized with an infection in her brain (iinm).

Chicken pox is also a terrible illness. Kids suffered horribly from it and it is beyond cruel for adults to minimize it as just an itch when the vaccine is safe and effective.

I very much doubt it would be mandated if it wasn't included in the mmr. But that's just my uneducated guess.

The point is that vaccines are mandated for public health reasons. I think I made my position clear.
Now if someone feels this situation is not to that point we will just disagree.

If they want to bring up the government should stay out of this I will point out the hypocrisy this position brings up for most.

I thought in that volley we were talking about a different point. 

We tried the don't shame, make fun of or force vaccination route and it failed. We are all aware of mandating certain vaccines for school children for health reasons. I believe this health crisis warrants it.

Who do you trust about vaccines?

I don't have a PCP, but my father was told by his that there is no need to get the vaccine because he has antibodies. This is something the CDC and those trying to create vaccine mandates are willfully ignoring.

So you are going to trust a PCP instead of experts in the field? Would you trust a PCP over a Cardiologist if you had a heart condition?

I would guess the rise in cases. What he is missing is how it would look if no one was vaccinated.

I would trust a PCP giving me advice based on my individual case over some generic advice that appears to be tainted by outside factors
