Cool, I’ve actually wondered where I can see this data. Good to see things are down.
If I walk around within my house or yard, does that count as distance? Or does it go by the furthest distance I’ve gone.
Numbers are skewed because areas with low population density (e.g. Alaska, rural counties in NY state) will show worse numbers because the local Walmart is many miles away. Meanwhile in reality the people there might be more socially distant than people in densely populated areas.
Methinks there are two factors: The first is social distancing, meaning staying more than six feet away from people you don’t live with. The second is not to travel far from home unless it’s essential.
There’s some overlap but they’re two separate things in my eyes.
