He's not. Italy is over 70 days, as are other countries. China and S Korea are seeing a resurgence. The examples he gave of countries that didn't hamper their economies and are fine are also misguided. Singapore and Taiwan were both prepared at a government level and citizen level due to their exposure to previous viruses, such as SARS. They invested heavily in stockpiles and preparedness strategies, and citizens were trained in proper protocols from the last time, ensuring widespread compliance.

He's essentially saying Bibi overreacted in hindsight, whereas if Bibi had done what he's suggesting from the beginning, we'd have a thread for Israeli administration blunders and accountability for the staggering death toll.

This needs peer review, reading the article doesn’t convince me of much.

Lots of questionable stuff, for instance: They’re saying only x deaths don’t warrant shutting down the economy, when they don’t consider that if we hadn’t shut down the economy we’d have have exponentially higher death toll R”L.

First of all, that story isn't played out yet. Second, assuming Bnei Brak's numbers stay steady, we'll be talking about nissei nissim when this is over. It's a statistical anomaly. And also nothing to do with this guy's proposed 70 day cycle with a 40 day peak. Also, the economy in BB... not exactly gutted over this.

No matter how the cards fall people will spin things after the fact to whatever preconceived biases they already have. Same as already been happening in peoples’ reactions/behaviors so far.

Can we please ignore the number of cases. Its meaningless. Deaths as a lagging indicator will be the final arbiter of how bad it was when this is over. Looking at it from the inside out at this moment in time is really not the way to look at this.
