Simple math question. 100% shelter at home. How many admitted to hospitals will be from sheltered at home? 
Now change that 1% sheltered at home. 

This is what I answered to the 5 people that sent me the article. The overwhelming majority of people in NY are officially staying at home, so of course they are over represented in admissions. The real question is how a full 34% of admissions are not.. Although truthfully 18% are nursing homes

I think the 'shelter in  place' people have stopped being careful. And aren't truly quarantining themselves any more.

We must ask, what is the Lockdown designed to do? if it is to eradicate the virus then presumably we shouldn't have any cases from that group, and if it's so we don't overwhelm the Hospitals Etc. mission accomplished!

Regardless of what power hungry "Don't let a good crisis go to waste" politicians try to impose, at a certain point the American people will not tolerate it any longer.
For all of Trumps faults, he has an uncanny innate gut instinct of what the American people are feeling.

I don’t know the true cost but I’m sure it’s staggering, as is the cost of the bailout packages. The longer we wait the more expensive it gets.

I’m aware, neither did I. I think the bailout package will have unquantifiable far reaching repercussions for us. The dollar cost is huge as well.

I'm curious to know what people actually think when they see that "66%" number. We've scrutinized enough stats on this board to know what good stats are. To me, that number means 2 things, mutually exclusive from each other. Big picture, the number is bunk, garbage, useless. It was taken at random from 1000 patients, given multiple choice answers with limited options, and absolutely no qualifiers on what "shelter-in-place" means to any of these people, other than they didn't fit into another category. Small picture, whatever precautions front line responders and essential workers are taking seem to be somewhat effective, given their low representation in new infections. Again, no real context to the numbers, but I see that as a silver lining.

Or they have all been exposed. My BIL is an EMT and emergency room nurse in queens. He was exposed to multiple positive patients early on before proper precautions were being taken. No symptoms. He and multiple responders and hospital personnel were told to isolate. He tested negative twice. Took an antibody test and had antibodies.

I ask this question every week. Our testing capacity keeps going up and fatality rate has increased again. Why is that and when should we see the fatality rate go down. Don't give me the BS it is a lagging indicator.
