I have heard of a bunch of cases of vaccinated people in the Lakewood/Brooklyn area that just got covid and have real symptoms,
I know two personally, one of them has pretty high fever.

After 7 days of dropping (47k on July 21), UK cases are back up. 27k today compared with 23k yesterday.

Obviously, it's just one day, but we're not out of the woods yet. The UK is essentially the bellwether that will tell us if the US 4th wave will end naturally or require lockdown (ironic if DeSantis imposes first)

The proximity of the UK & Netherlands turnaround makes me believe it has to do with schools/weather - I think there were heavy rains that kept people at home.

UK up again today. 31k vs 27k yesterday and 23k two days ago. Still much lower than 47k of July 21

Sorry for asking a stupid question, but how do we know whats going around is the delta variant? The media is all about the delta variant the past few weeks.
As far as I know the corona test is only positive or negative

We don’t know, we assume because of the rate of increase (Delta is more transmissible) and the sequencing that has been done has shown an increased prevalence of Delta. I don’t believe variant prevalence data is as readily available as other stats.

ETA: Delta prevalence in the US is currently at approximately 83%
