For starters like NY, military and other mandates. It can be refined as more data becomes available. We need to act now!!!

Why should we all be put ask risk because of these idiots (99%+ are idiots) that won't get vaccinated?

Our risk is somewhat limited, as evidenced by the overwhelming representation of unvaccinated people in FL hospitals. That's in a state with zero restrictions. Restrictions can make it even safer for vaccinated people without going as far as vaccine mandates.

Breakthrough cases are a risk, but not enough of one to be deemed a public health crisis. Government isn't meant to eliminate all risk from our lives.

I think a better approach would let everyone else do it. Schools, businesses, unions and many others entities can require you be vaccinated. Maybe that will keep the courts out of it.

That's fine, but a far cry from government forcing people to get vaccinated. Those entities would need overwhelming public support to pull off such a move, and right now it's not there. As vaccination numbers creep up and treatment protocols continue to improve, that support is likely to lessen, not grow. People don't like being told what to do with their bodies, and that's a bipartisan sentiment.

You are correct I don't know but I would bet my life (pun intended) on the driving force.

We are in another public health crisis currently.
