Another story.

On the bus on the way to the aircraft in STR, I realised that a certain guy was flying every morning to ZRH, to return at night. This guy was flying always business, and it being a 35 mins flight, it does not make too much sense. (people flying business on such routes, are typically connecting from longer flights, but here it obviously wasn't the case).

Leaving the bus I wanted to walk up the stairs to the aircraft, when my way was barred by this guy.
This German guy (try to picture), was wearing an expensive raincoat, had the sides of his head shaved, and the hair on top split with gel, and walking like some ******* snub he said:"Lass mich durch, ich fliege business class !" (= let me pass, I'm flying in business).
I said to him, sure, no problem. I let another few people walk in front of me not rushing to get into this crampy airplane.
The stewardess was at the door greeting all, and I saw this German bowing to here, saying something to her. At this point the stewardess noticed me, completely ignored this guy, and just waived to me, shouting, Hello Mr SF !

I would pay a lot to see again the face of this nazi that turned around only to see that she was greeting me...

Out of curiosity, what do you do these with these miles? Use them for yourself, or monetize them?

Yes, yes, and with your elite status, you get availability for more buyers. And your listings go to the top of the page.

Either sell your miles, or book ppl high-fare tix using your account. That's where the best cpm is.
(Of course it's a risk, and if you have enough $$ and too many miles at risk, it may not be worth it.)
