I like that Rush advocates against murdering fetuses and advocates for capital punishment for those convicted of manslaughter. That is correct.

The important thing with Rush is that he keeps on pumping out the Conservative message to the masses. And I'm sure it helps get out the conservative vote which is also very important.

I'm asking what you would do in a real life situation. We would take the situation and all it's factors to a rabbi with an extreme knowledge of the Torah, who can interpret it and apply it to our unique situation, which is essentially what @aygart said up thread, when he said

So whether it conforms to what the Torah says is of no relevance to you as long as he advocates for what feels good to you (or it feels good to you whatever he advocates). He advocates for capital punishment in cases which the Torah considers to be murdering the convict. Plain and simple. You are basing on a pasuk nad ignoring all of the torah shebaal peh about it. The capital punishment which would occur based on his advocacy would cause more murders than it would cause rightful capital punishment according to the torah. If it is the torah that you are standing up for  you would care about what the torah says and not just some vague idea. The facts are that you are advocating something the torah considers murder.
