So by your logic red states are currently doing way worse than blue states.

The big picture is the US has handled this terribly. Our president was a complete idiot with statements like "it is just like the flu" and "15 will be 0". 15 became our 150k deaths. That is fact you can't twist!!!

How are liberal states responsible for national response? The early deaths, for the most part, had nothing to do with the local government response. It had to do with things like timing, medical knowledge, weather, and population density. None of that absolves the administration's complete bungling of their response on national level.

Of course it had to do with local government. The hospitals that had the most deaths were all city run. The non city hospitals had far fewer patients dying.

NY/NJ were testing 15-20k at the height of the virus TX/FL are doing 50k-75k a day so great fact there! if NY would have tested back then like they are now would be way over 1M I have no doubt about it!

Population density, which guides both politics and viral spread. There is no rational argument to be made that the US, on a country-wide level, handled this pandemic with any amount of competence. On a Federal level, this has been a complete failure. That's not to say there's no blame to go around on a local level, as well, but that doesn't give the Trump administration a free pass.

Did they have a worse fatality rate than Elmhurst? How did private hospitals compare overall to NYCH+H? I have no idea and therefore I am not getting involved in the veracity of the specific claim. Do you have numbers one way or another or are you just throwing out the name of a hospital that was hard hit?

This is a pandemic and needs a national response. This administration not only failed at that response but their lack of response made it worse.
All they can point to is banning some flights from China. We now find out the worse spreading of the virus was from European flights. So they didn't even get that right.
