Lies from people in positions of power are terrible, and good on you for calling him out. He should be held accountable.
This isn't just about him lying. It's about an alleged neutral, unbiased reporter putting his finger on the scale for one side. What else has he done to promote Democrats over Republicans that we don't know about? Will he/CNN acknowledge that he is an opinion journalist, not a "straight news guy"?

What is new in the Woodward tapes? It has long been well documented that Trump was downplaying the seriousness of Covid at the time and that he did it because he (mistakenly) thought it was a good idea to calm people's fears, rather than incite panic. At the time (Feb. 7th) that was the universal approach of almost every public figure across the spectrum including those who got the same briefings as Trump did.
