The governors actually are the ones who had no such power to close houses of worship ( a small little clause in the constitution called freedom of religion). They know that and trump is just calling them out on it

We are talking about churches but I know why you want to change the discussion. Courts are ruling they are not essential. Your nutcase leader is just throwing you red meat and you are eating it.

Zero to do with it. Same thing in IL where they ruled correctly the governor overstepped his authority with his extension. It can be extended with the legislators approval. Trumps BS was nothing but a political stunt to try and help his disastrous numbers against a candidate that is hiding in the basement.

Now that they are starting to allow some similar settings to reopen is when it will start getting interesting.
IMHO courts will then start ruling for churches as they should. If you can have 50 people for x non-essential activity you should be able to have 50 for prayer.
