Lets get this straight. They fought to keep slavery. They fought against our great country. They lost and you want to honor them?
You can make a legitimate argument for the statues but not for naming military bases after them.

(it was more about the Southerners being sick and tired of being told how to live their lives ... yes slavery was a part of it... Sort of the same way lots of people in this country are getting sick and tired of being told how to live theirs and what privilege to check)
talk about Robert E Lee for example, he was offered command of Union army and was anti-slavery but as soon a Virginia seceded, he announced that he's a Virginian first and American second, and the rest is history. and History is very complicated especially when it's being rewritten and reshaped to a specific narrative.
