The guy is on team Trump, so his statement would naturally be what's best for Trump. But he still made a statement, and probably didn't make it up out of the blue.

In my post wondering if it was true, I was trying to determine if it was true in our language. Did she never meet Trump at all (which is a strange phenomenon for a niece not to have ever met her uncle), or does he mean something more intricate, like there was never an official one-on-one meeting held between the two (but yes, their families used to be over at each other's homes all the time).

The families have been feuding for the last 20 years over an inheritance (and the Trump family cutting them out of the family health insurance policy) and IIRC Trump spoke scathingly of her father in “The Art Of The Deal”.
