Whenever I see a guy that’s all proud of himself that he predicted Covid-19 And he woulda done this differently and that differently I think of the guy who 5 yrs ago predicted Kobe would die in a helicopter crash...
Nothing personal against @yuneeq, I’m just saying in general even if someone was right on most of the facts it doesn’t make you an expert. It was more chance than anything else
I don't remember beating my chest about corona, but regardless I think you're completely wrong about my information being correct "by chance" - and the comparison to the Kobe crash is just strange. I spent endless hours hunting down information about corona since late January, reading numerous studies, finding the most reliable charts and data, looked into what other countries were doing. I barely slept 3 hours a night in February/March, the information was intriguing and the potential impact overwhelming..It was neither a bold prediction nor rocket science to put 2 and 2 together. For example, I said a lot about masks based on my research, in opposition to the CDC and others. At the time, everyone here was aware of how serious corona was, and was able to say the same. But unless you spent tens of hours hunting down the info, there was no reason to distrust the CDC and other officials lying in the name of science.
It's like Dan predicting that the Marriott Starwood merger is not going to turn out good. Even if the whole world is saying otherwise, he'd stick by his guns, and he wouldn't be lucky to be right.
