No that's a common misunderstanding. There is a theory/belief that humans and apes had a common ancestor - not that humans descended from apes.

Judaism as a religion does not have other beliefs. There are those who interpret the Torah as allegorical, and that opens the door to every other theory, scientific or otherwise, but that does not make them Judaism's beliefs or teachings.

Im not familiar with anyone in the orthodox spectrum who says that story is allegorical, but would not be surprised if they exist, many aspects of that story are viewed by some as allegorical. Other stories in Genesis are viewed by some as allegorical or that they took place in dreams. The reality is although these views were said by great people for the most part they are not currently accepted.

There is a tradition of interpretation that is memorialized in the Talmud and other scholarly works spanning generations. For those well-versed it is a simple matter to differentiate between beliefs that are within the tradition and those outside of it.

His support is for the ticket running against Trump. He's been pretty clear about that. Independent just means he gets to pick a candidate each time without being beholden to a specific party.

We agree 100% on this. I just did our census online. I checked white and in the box I put American.

Couldn't agree more. In the past when doing the census on paper I would either leave it blank or check off several boxes (at the very least White, African, Asian and White) but unfortunately there is such ingrained racism in the system (why is it at all constitutional to ask these question? A person, is a person is a person!) and I don't know what kind of funny things they do with this data, so this time around I checked white and since one was forced to put an origin I put Jewish.
