I think they found a way for me to vote for Biden. Getting Cuomo out of NY would be a reason for me to vote for anyone.

As those on these forums may know, I am a Trump supporter (not necessarily as a person, but in the big picture) and I have conservative values. That being said...

I voted for Cory Booker tonight.

In my opinion, Rik Mehta has zero chance. I despise Booker's national policies, and I am repulsed by his failure to initially support the Taylor Force Act and his support for the Iran deal, but as they say, 'all politics are local', and I think he is an effective senator for the people of Lakewood.

I've heard from a big askan that his office is one of the best in the country for constituent services, and that he has taken care of so many issues for Agudah and other, including matters for individuals and for the klal. Yes, the stances he takes when he seeks wide publicity are often spineless and wrong, but I think that it would benefit Lakewood to be seen by the victor as a supporter, so that he continue to care about Lakewood residents.

As far as I know he is unique among Democratic senators (as opposed to say Chuck Schumer who is as left wing as they get but is willing to stick his neck out for the Jewish community) that he continually gives lip service and nice droshos to his Jewish constituents but almost never delivers. He takes our money and vote for granted and it is terrible precedent to vote for him simply because he is the incumbent. It’s like pulling teeth to get him to stick his neck out in the slightest for the Jewish community. If it’s an issue that happens to align with his agenda he’ll sign on. Why not. But if it’s Iran or Toeiva or even neutral issues that don’t align with his agenda forget about it.

I don’t know how he is with individual constituents but you seldom hear of his office delivering for them as opposed to Menendez or the congressmen who are extremely helpful. Effective for Lakewood? I find that extremely hard to believe.

I’m all for hakaras hatov but this ain’t it.
