What does waldorf Maldives do with unused credit thats loaded to the room?

It's rare to end up a trip in the Maldives with unused credits..
But conceptually, they give it back to you in cash minus 5%

@israshot  i just want to express a lot of hakaras hatov for this tr. This thank you is long overdue!
When I joined the ddf after i got married i read many trip reports but your time in the Conrad Koh Samui really stood out as something i must get to.
Also, this tr was written so well and with such detail that i knew exactly what was needed in order to plan such a trip......

well anyway fast forward 4 years, 3 kids and 2 cancelled trips -  i am finally watching the sunset from room 501 and i have to say it was well worth the wait  (and the schlepping twin 1.5yr olds), it is everything i dreamed of and more!!
Thank you so much for all the work you put into writing up your vacation and i am very excited for my week in the Conrad!!

I just got here last night.
For sure a lot of the frills were taken away.
Like no more anagrams robes no names on slippers and no babies names on anything
Also no more free drinks at the bar
But for the most part it’s the same amazing view and amazing resort!!

I paid 10000 baht a night for the upgrade but the shtick that you only pay for 3 and then they do the other 2 seems to be working.

And yes they sent me unlimited links as many as I asked for.

Yes because its all the way on the side. it happens to be its also the closest to anywhere else you want to go in the hotel (from all the 2 bedrooms)

Yup 501.. data point: they paid me upon leaving because i over paid with resort credits. They took off 5%. Paid for. Breakfast in bangkok the next morning.  They also gave personalized teddy bears with robes to the kids

Based on this TR, we did a trip TLV-SING-USM-BKK-TLV... with 2 kids!
