I guess you haven't read the news today.
It was all over the liberal media that Obama lied on that, and Candy's support was actually biased...

You sure about that?

Yes, he didn't saut was a terrorist attack (and other members of his administration, Carny, Rice, explicitly said its not), he just said we won't let terrorist attacks happen.

“No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation”

The fact is, he said it.

Yes, context matters, and I'm not paid to be Obama's defender, but it doesn't seem as clear cut as ppl try and make it.

In any event, it was entirely out of line, and unprofessional for Candy to open her mouth as the fact-checker de jure in the middle of he debate.

You're totally right.
But, as you say, you gotta look into context.

@LarrySabato: For those asking, it is possible that in a 269-269 tie we could have Romney/Biden admin (House picks prez, Senate picks VP)

True. It could have happen when Gore was running and it would have been really cool: Congress, which was republican then, would have picked Bush; and the senate, which was a tie, would have been tie-broken by Gore. So Gore would pick Liberman, and he himself would remain unelected.

Any opinions on who's winning? They both seem to be on equal footing to me.

I would say that Obama, continuing his tactic, was taking a lot of cheap shots at Romney. I think he's turning off a lot of people that way. Romney on the other hand was refraining from that.
For instance, Romney did accuse Obama of skipping Israel in his tour of the middle east. Obama replies that he went during his campaign etc . Romney could've ripped right back: of course you went then, to get elected! Have you gone once since then? no! But he let it go. Maybe he shouldn't have...

Last night it seemed the Oilam was kvelling over obamas "horses and bayonets" quote. IMO he totally sidestepped the question; romney's main complaint wasn't about the fact that the navi is at its lowest since the 1910s, he was complaining that the navi claims it needs X amount of boats to carry out opperations and they aren't getting them. Am I the only one who thinks so?

From the rules of the election debate commision

Quote
Candidate Selection

Not every candidate is invited by the Commission on Presidential Debates. The commission invites only those candidates who meet all three of its criteria, including the constitutional requirements of being 35 years old and a natural born citizen of the United States and resident for 14 years to run for president.

Hmmm. :o  How many candidates were at the debates? Is it enough to say "trust me, I am eligible, I have all the requirements, you have no standing to question me..."?

I feel like he sidestepped about 90% of the questions in all 3.

From a true independent. Obama wins debates 2-1. Did they change my mind, no.
