why help the public when you can make even more $ off of them and no one can say anything because they can blame the government

like Gourmet Glatt who will be charging 25 cents for 5 bags

No one likes to rip people off more than Gourmet Glatt; especially in the 5 Towns. Its ridiculous.

At least with GG you know what your getting yourself into, they don't pretend to hide their outrageous prices.

The real devil and brilliant plan by the powers that be at GG is Kol Save. Maybe in the beginning it did have better prices but now, they have all the junk brands at low prices and the better brands at triple the price so you end up spending more then you  would've at GG!

I was just there and they have a 10 pack of mini (10oz) soda cans on "sale" for 3 for $12. In the rest of the world, the sale would be for regular 12 packs of the regular sized cans (12oz)  ::) ::)
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Soda is a bad example, because retail for 12 packs is often $5-6

That's later, first will be waiting 10x as long for the next few weeks while all the people stand there shocked at the lack of bags and demand to speak with the manager.

Just in time for the Purim/Pesach seasons as well.

Just found out that some counties in NJ did this as well - went to Walmart in Secaucus and they said they've been bag-free since beginning of Feb.

I don't think that 5 cents a bag is outrageous. If you're already filling up 5 bags worth of products, I don't think that the extra 25 cents will make much of a dent, especially at GG prices.

Was there always a charge for boxes?

is this before the 5 cent city tax?

They are allowed to sell them in bulk. ( 5+ bags )
do you have a link to this regulation?
