Really nice TR!

Do you mind sharing more info on the ERUV if you have? what hotels are in it?

According to Chabad of Panama, the following hotels are within the eruv:

Residence Inn by Marriott (where we stayed)
JW Marriott
Las Americas Golden Tower
Plaza Paitilla Inn
Hard Rock Hotel
Radisson Decapolis Hotel
Hilton
Le Meridien
Intercontinental
Walforf Astoria

The Sortis is not within the eruv.

You can find this information here:

We booked two rooms and were upgraded. The points option was very cheap at the Residence Inn.

So u paid 175k total for the week (2 rooms) and they combined/upgraded you into 1 suite?

Any ideas how to get kitchen/suite using points without relying on the hotel upgradIng us? Can’t seem to book online.

We stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments and we loved it. It fit our family of 6 in one very large room, it has a kitchen (no oven), it’s within the Eruv and 5 minutes from Shevet Achim.

i tried that already and the response was "The hotel cannot accommodate 5 guests per room" even when paying with cash.

For activities, we booked three tours with Sorhay - San Blas and Embera Village/Monkey Island.  Information about Sorhay can be found here:

@PBaruch You booked san blas with Sorhay? I just reached out but Sorhay said san blas is "not part of our offerings." IS that a recent change? Thanks.

Yes, we booked it through Sorhay.  However, she did not accompany us on this tour.  We had a driver take us to the boats, and then 3 other guys took us out on the boat for the day.

Great tr! Do you think we could do the hikes (like by anton valley) and go to see the hieroglyphics ourselves? Like can we just hike on the trail and be fine?

There is a small fee that you must pay to enter this park, but I am fairly certain that a guide is not mandatory.  The trail was well marked and not too difficult.

Our guide was able to explain the petroglyphs to us - including pointing out certain landmarks and explaining that it was a map of the area.  Also, our guide pointed our various trees and animals that we would have otherwise missed.  I am not sure what your budget is, or what the current cost is for a guided tour, but we prefer to have a guide.  I can't say that a guide is absolutely necessary and it depends on your preference.
