Thoughts?

I just read the Jerusalem platform, and I find it very difficult to interpret it in the way they are claiming it can be read to mean.

I don't really understand. Obviously, I'm nowhere near his level, so I'm not questioning him, I'd just appreciate if someone can perhaps explain his reasoning.

From my reading of that letter (which I can't find from any other source), it seems he's not complaining about the content of the Jerusalem program, he's concerned about what it DOESN'T include. But there are lots of times when someone can talk about the fact that certain concepts are central to judaism, and we don't expect them to list the entire 13 ikrim?

the expression of the common responsibility of the Jewish people for its continuity and future.

Some of the names signed were barely Bar Mitzvah when Reb Ahron Kotler passed away. Weird that Reb Ahron who traveled to Israel to promote the Israeli elections in order to influene the Knesses Haminim would have an issue to do the same with WZO.

Even Satmar which won't vote in the Israeli elections due to Hisgaros BeUmos, should be behind infiltrating a Zionist organization and capturing it from within.

Does the heter to vote in Israeli elections apply equally here? And if you feel it does, is it so clear that you would call it weird if someone felt it did not? I'm also curious why this idea just popped up now, has anything changed as far as how the wzo does things recently?
