For example, we looked up this flight from PHL to SFO, it’s $299 for a one-way ticket, Now, when we try to change an existing flight booking on United.com, the exact same flight will cost us $596

IINM United only allows free changes even when booked directly,

ANA allows free changes and 3,000 miles for cancellation.

Now that the border is closed for ALL non essential travel, should I assume my flights from US to Canada for Pesach will be canceled and refunded?  Flying to Canada using AA miles and returning with paid AC flight
anyone heard anything about AA and AC policies for US-CAN flights?
Assuming they'll be canceled

Booked a flight for UA in January for travel tomorrow (Fri. 3/20) MIA-EWR using UA miles.
Trying to cancel on United's website and it looks like they want to charge me an award redeposit fee of $125 per passenger. According to the chat bot on their website, although they're waiving change fees, they're not waiving redeposit fees.
Does this make sense?
TIA!

Change the date to April.
Hey, Dan. Thanks for the quick response!
But then what do I do when April comes? Do you think United will cancel the flight on their own by then?

Wizzair (finally) cancelled my Israel Pesach flight
They're offering a refund (they have to legally), but also offering 20% extra if you take the refund as airline credit

Tempting but I don't know what their cash situation is and whether they'll make it through this

I have an AA milage ticket for my family.
When I log in it says:
You can cancel your trip online, and your miles will be safe. There’s no need to call right now.
Depart ****** (usa to yyz)
Sunday, April 12, 2020
When you're ready to travel again, or simply want your miles back, you can contact us.

Does that mean I won't be charged any reinstatement fees and I'll get back all the miles and taxes?

If you are entitled to a refund as per the T&C, I assume

Did anybody have success getting a refund for cancelled Air Serbia flight?
I booked through Chase portal, and they're just offering a credit which doesn't help, because $295 doesn't buy you much. They're not offering to waive the fare difference.
