I have tickets on Alaska for Pesach, booked after 2/27.
Was thinking of changing the flights for better scheduling and pricing, but don't want to lose the ability to cancel after changing.
If I cancel the tickets they'll issue me a credit certificate. (BTW, they give a credit per flight, and you can only use 4 credits per new reservation.)
If I use that credit to buy a new ticket now before 3/31, will I be able to cancel those flights for free and receive credit again, as that seems to be their policy, or is there a way the airline will "know" that it's credit for an already cancelled flight, and not allow me to cancel the new flight?
Representative said she thinks I won't be able to cancel again, but I found that hard to believe. Especially that in their written policy, it would seem that any ticket bought now, irrelevant of how it was bought, should have a free cancellation policy for credit.
Would anyone here know?
