I emailed my Protektzia at a local office, (never liked using them for changes but I guess this was a reasonable exception) and got my Erev Pesach ticket changed for free to Erev Sukkos.

This was probably answered before but I couldn't find.

I have non refundable tickets to Europe for Pessah and I'm not planning on traveling.

Today they announced that my flight was cancelled, but I automatically got rebooked on a later flight that day.

Per Israeli law can I get a refund? Or since LY provided me with alternate flights then they don't need to refund me?

If was a change of more than 6 hours elal will officially refund you.

Thanks. Here the change is only 3 hours. But was hoping the fact that they technically cancelled my original flight would help.
I'm waiting for the return leg to be cancelled too before reaching out to them. Will revert back with feedback

Ignore the incorrect links to WhatsApp on both Hebew website (with 5 1's) and English website (with 3 1's). There should be 4 1's...

So if El Al says talk to Chase, and you call Chase and wait on hold for hours only to be disconnected and never get through to anyone, what next?

A waiver for free changes doesn't help me if I can't actually talk to anyone. If the date of my flight comes and goes, have I forfeited the ticket? And is there any chance of getting a refund (if I can talk to someone), if my flight was changed to a different NY airport?

Elal paused ALL refunds for the time being (due to schedule change, or even voluntary and pay fee). Once things settle down and regular operations start up again, they'll turn refunds back on.
