I have been thinking the same things there's no reason the supply chain stopped or is stopping or will stop

Yeah I mean employees may get sick etc but it's not the end of the world.

Across the industry, “you’re talking about 50 days to get to a customer,” said Matthew Wadiak, who runs Cooks Venture, a chicken supplier based in Arkansas and Oklahoma. “Fifty days ago, we didn’t know this was even on the horizon. There was essentially no way to plan for it.”

But that's not true. Covid19 broken dec31 2019? They had plenty of time. That was 75 days ago.

I disagree with the premise of this poll. I think this is a big deal, yet I still haven't stocked up on any of the above.

You already had masks, sanitizers, and other disinfectants stocked up from before?
Then vote for those options.

I have disinfectants. I don't have masks and I don't think I will use them.

If you know anyone that is elderly or immunocompromised, and you think COVID is a big deal, you would want to stock up for them.

I'm curious. I noticed that my disinfectant wipes and sprays state that they kill 99.9% of bacteria. Do they also kill viruses? Or is all this hype for no reason... We've using them religiously but I'm wondering if it's worthless
ETA: my bad . It states explicitly that it kills cold and flu viruses. Hopefully COVID19 is included.

Was wondering the same. People are grabbing wipes that clearly state “alcohol-free”.

you can't really get them and hospitals need them .
I'm not directly coming into contact with those people. I hope others can say the same. If you are a caretaker them you should be treated like a medical professional.
Are you advocating for a quarantine of the entire country since masks are not available?

Easy with the big words.  :)

The main thing is to have a plan in place to quarantine a family member and to protect those at high risk.

Having a house with different levels, rooms and bathrooms makes it very easy.

Clorox and Lysol disinfecting wipes both kill 99.9% of germs, bacteria, and viruses when used as directed. The key phrase to pay attention to is: when used as directed. To kill 99.9% of germs, you need to use enough wipes so that the surface you’re cleaning remains wet for at least 4 minutes.

Such as these

https://www.dansdeals.com/shopping-deals/amazon/28-packs-20-purell-hand-sanitizing-wipes-42-99-shipped-amazon/
https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/show-me-the-science-hand-sanitizer.html
If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Why? Many studies have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration between 60–95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers 16,20. Hand sanitizers without 60-95% alcohol 1) may not work equally well for many types of germs; and 2) merely reduce the growth of germs rather than kill them outright.

yup. Unlike how everyone at Costco is doing it. (Especially since right after they go handle products that everyone else touched.) Probably more effective if they offered hand sanitizer rather than wipes for the carts.

Does this apply to sanitizer on the hands as well ?
