That is ~double the normal Amazon price I'm sure that's why they're the last ones to sell out.

Examples

Meh. Those prices are cheaper than what some stores charge for 32 oz, and they're also paying for shipping.
It went from a loss leader to somewhat profitable.

Oh, you mean the gel for a mere $115 for 16 oz?
Sorry, may as well be out of stock to me.

In stock, ships from NJ. Expect a 3 day handling time

Good old fashioned soap and water. No need for anti-bacterial anything.
Yep. People seem to not be realizing the importance of soap and water over sanitizer.
Washing your hands thoroughly with soap is more effective than using hand sanitizer.
Sanitizer should be reserved exclusively for when soap and water are inaccessible. Also, hand sanitizer on greasy or dirty hands is less effective.

As has been mentioned, antibacterial _____ is not necessarily antiviral.

According to a study your hands should be dry before applying sanitizer because they found that wet mucus protected the influenza A virus, rendering hand sanitizer less effective.

I find sanitizer to be pretty important as most of the time that I need to disinfect is not near to a sink with soap.

An employee at the Howell Walmart (near Lakewood) told me that the store got a pallet of hand sanitizer last week and a single customer bought the entire pallet. They didn't have limits then, but are considering implementing them now.

I heard of someone who did something like that and sold it in China

It was available? For how much
What I saw was $113 for one bottle Sold by Amazon. Amazon should shut them down for price gouging.

A few people start hoarding it & everyone panics that there will be a shortage. Or perhaps people are afraid tap water can get contaminated. Probably the former

It’s more than water everything is running off the shelf
Depends on what.  A lot of products or ingredients and packaging. Comes from China.  No containers are leaving China now.
Frozen fruit. Frozen veg.  Frozen Flounder fish  this are already short supply.
Have family in the food industry..
