While I have a different model, Waze needs someone to enter there is a cop.
Basically Waze is most useful for laser and Radar detectors for Active radar.
IMHO its a must. 1 ticket saved saved = the cost of detector.

 But at night it's a must, you can't see the cops.
 And being that the roads are empty there's noone to report on waze, so driving on the New York State Thruway or any highway, the cop can zap anyone without you knowing he was there.

 Now even during the day, let's say for example you were the very first person to be speeding after he parked his car in the bushes, your going to be his karbon.

 Now I don't know the quality of the one posted, but if you are buying one, make sure it's not a cheap junk, as the cheap ones will beep for every nonsense, whether it being a sensor from cars, as they all have now lane assist and other radar detectors.

If the trueway is empty  and cop is shooting, this will wont help you since by the time this detector detects the laser that cop already scanned you

Cuz if it's full the cop might get someone else car first but when its empty he shoots and since you the only one on the road it will shoot at your car

Well not exactly, the radar detectors are there to detect a radar being shot at your car, hence the range of the radar detector I suppose is working with a much longer ranch to give you a warning, vs the actual gun the officer is using to shoot at the vehicles.

You need a jammer to first shift/jam the hit and then you kill your jammer so cop can get a good reading.
