UPDATE. Rebooked on BA thru LHR. I had to change the date due to lack of availability in my fare class. BA would not put me in Premium even for the TLV-LHR leg. Travelocity rep very pleasant and worked with BA while I was on hold. Took over an hour!

AA awards on AA metal: two flights cancelled - Milan>NY>Milan (late march and late april). Called in to the awards line and got points and taxes refunded without any difficulty.

Yes! Here's my situation.. My brother booked a flight to come home from EY for Pesach, but booked for APRIL 20something instead of MARCH.. Complicated ticket, but let's just say that wasn't the only issue with it (2 different OTA, 2 different airlines for a OW stopover flight).
He planned on writing it off as a loss, since the costs of changing each segment were more than new flight.
Flight was Virgin TLV-LHR and then Norwegian LHR-NYC.

I booked him a new flight, direct, already. Any thoughts on how to get this refunded now as opposed to wait & see?

My sister was booked on Lufthansa flight from tlv - jfk which just got canceled. She booked through a website go to gate which she got from google flights. Lufthansa is telling her she needs to talk to the ota but she has been on hold for over 3 hours already.

I had a Elal flight today that I cancelled yesterday. According to the TA that booked the flight, Elal isn’t processing any refunds at all now. He claims I’ll get it but doesn’t know when. Any advice?

Family's Air Serbia flights to TLV were canceled. Booked thru Chase with Chase UR and minimal amount on my Chase SP. Chase rep said they need to check with the airline prior to giving a refund as all they offer is a voucher. Advised her that legally they're required to issue a refund so there's nothing to ask.

She understands but she still has to ask..... She kept telling me Air Serbia was not picking up their phones. Was on with her for 1 1/2 hours. After all that time, she said she will submit a request for refund electronically since they're not picking up the phone. If they agree to issue a refund, I will hear back from the airline- within TEN weeks!

If I booked thru Chase, shouldn't they be able to issue the refund?

Is there anything further I can do?! This is ridiculous. Thanks!

I found Chase to really not do much beyond what the airlines official rules are, in general. I had the same thing with their travel insurance; it went according to the airline's rules and didn't offer any additional benefit. Good luck! Maybe try to dispute the charges?

Thanks! Almost all of it was paid with Chase UR, very small amt on the card. I asked the rep, she said it cannot be disputed, the only way to get a refund is by getting approval from the airline. I will probably try calling the airline, and possibly try Chase back again. Then I'll file a DoT complaint.

i would do DOT first
