Iran, viewed as the most incompetent country dealing with a COVID outbreak, tested more people in one day - yesterday - than the US has tested in total. Can't wrap my head around that.

How to make a cream cheese and lox sandwich, e.g.
Old way:
Wash hands
Make sandwich
Wash hands
Wash hamotzi
Eat

New way:
1. Wash hands 20 seconds
2. Get out bag of bagels, cream cheese, lox. Open all packaging.
3. Wash hands 20 seconds
4. Take a bagel out of the bag
5. Holding container of cream cheese in left hand, use knife in right hand to get some cream cheese.
6. Smear cream cheese on bagel...what? Are you holding the bagel in place with your left hand that just touched the container of cream cheese?!
7. Throw out bagel.
8. Sanitize container of cream cheese.
9. Wash hands 20 seconds
10. Get a new bagel.
11. Smear cream cheese
12. Put on lox
13. Wash hands
14. Wash hamotzi
15. Eat

Iran confirmed 591 cases today, which means they likely tested 5-10x more than that based on the % that other countries are confirming. CDC has tested only 1526 people so far.

To stick to the ? of how it's affecting my life: I am currently holding off on all travel. I kind of have ants in my pants as I travel often but currently can't justify the risk/reward. Other than that, just following the basic precautions (and kinda thrilled that my kids are finally taking the wash your hands protocol seriously

Have a bar mitzvah in FL in May. Was originally gonna book Jetblue award so that I can cancel if necessary without being stuck with travel credit, but the flights that work for us got on the expensive side. Considering booking super cheap Spirit flights, but a little nervous that I'll be stuck with the bill if we end up deciding against going.

Trust the Mossad.

All it took is one or two officials to contract the virus and then spend time with others not knowing they have it. Also, don't forget, these guys aren't Ashkenazi by any stretch of the imagination.

Sorry I got it backwards.
The doctor used the CDC guidelines to call the NY DOH to ask them to test a patient. The DOH said "unnecessary".
