I agree but it’s more than one state so you tell me. My guess is that there is a prioritization of people who already tested positive on the antigen test.
Another possible explanation is that hospitals or other facilities are reporting quicker than regular testing and considering two days forward is double the case count that would skew the numbers dramatically (kinda like the shidduch crises).
I live in NJ so only gonna talk about that 86.8% number. I know tons of people in Lakewood testing for flu/COVID and getting negatives for COVID, nowhere close to 86.8%. And many that test because of travel or other requirements. I don't see why that would be different around the state, the flu is going around so people with flu will likely test negative to COVID. If I had to guess, a more plausible number would be 30% or lower, which is still extremely high.
